Statement on Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing creative industries — including sound design.

Alongside excitement about new tools, there are also real and valid conversations happening about workforce displacement, authorship, and the future of human artistry.

We take those concerns seriously.

The fear that creative work could be diluted, automated, or devalued is not hypothetical. Many artists and technicians across fields are already experiencing disruption. We believe it is important to acknowledge this reality openly rather than dismiss it.

At the same time, we also believe tools themselves are not the authors of culture — people are.

Our position is grounded in a simple principle:

AI can assist creative work, but it does not replace creative intent.

Every product we release is conceived, directed, and evaluated by human designers. Our process begins with deliberate recording, synthesis, manipulation, and aesthetic judgment.

AI may occasionally support technical or exploratory aspects of production — such as organization, iteration, or workflow acceleration — but it does not originate the artistic direction of our work.

1. We do not release AI-generated packs.
2. We do not mass-automate sound creation.
3. We do not substitute human authorship with generative output in our sound design.

For us, sound design is inseparable from perception, taste, and lived experience.

Those qualities come from people.

We also recognize that the broader questions around AI — labor, credit, compensation, and artistic identity — are still evolving across the creative world. No single company can resolve these issues alone.

What we can do is remain transparent about our own practices and participate in the conversation responsibly.

Starting in 2026, we are implementing a clear AI-use disclosure standard across our products.

If AI contributes materially to any content — including sound design builds or source material generation — it will be labeled accordingly. We believe customers deserve to know how creative work is made.

Our approach is simple: transparency similar in spirit to ingredient labeling.

If AI is part of the workflow in a meaningful way, it will be identified as such.

If you have thoughts on this topic, we welcome them.

If you believe our position is lacking in some area, we want to hear from you. It will not fall on deaf ears. Thoughtful feedback helps shape better standards across our field.
